Easy Crispy Chicken Sandwich

Combine the milk, vinegar, salt, and cumin in a zipper baggie or medium bowl.

Flatten the chicken with a meat mallet and cut to make equal pieces. Add the chicken fillets to the milk mixture, cover, and chill for 1 hour.

In a coating tray, add the flour, baking powder, and taco seasoning.

Beat the egg in another coating tray, then whisk the milk mixture from the chicken soaking baggie or bowl.

Coat each piece of chicken with the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, then put it back in the flour and coat it very well. Set the breaded chicken on a plate or sheet pan to rest for 5 minutes.

Fry the chicken in the hot oil until golden brown and 165 degrees F in the center. Carefully flip over half way through.

Drain the fried crispy chicken on a wire rack or on a paper towel lined plate.

Serve on soft brioche buns with your favorite toppings.
