This 5-minute Pizza Sauce recipe is thick and full of flavor and takes just 2 steps! It is healthier and tastier than the store-bought pizza sauce and it's naturally vegan. It's richer and thicker than a marinara sauce. Use it with your favorite pizza dough and add your favorite toppings on your next pizza night. This recipe makes about 2 cups of sauce.
Whisk all of the ingredients together in a large bowl until smooth.
Spread half of the red sauce on top of your pizza dough. Add your toppings and bake at 450 degrees F. for about 15 minutes or until done.
Notes
For a smoother sauce, you can mix it using an immersion blender or a food processor until it reaches your desired consistency.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 4-5 days.
To freeze, place half of the sauce in each freezer bag and lay them flat to save space. To thaw, place the bag in a bowl of water for about 20-30 minutes or allow to thaw in the fridge for 24 hours.
