Recipe FAQs

Who invented the Banana Daiquiri?

The original Daiquiri is said to have been created by Jennings Cox around 1898 who was an iron miner working in Cuba at the time. While the Daiquiri is not necessarily considered a girly drink, I think they can be both fun and beautiful. Captain George Soule then created the Banana Daiquiri in 1953 at Mountain Top, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Read more about the origins of the Daiquiri.
