Creamy Mushroom Pork Steaks Recipe

Creamy Mushroom Pork Steaks have juicy pork shoulder steaks in a creamy garlic mushroom sauce with mushrooms and onions. It’s a 25-minute one-pan meal that is great for a quick and easy dinner. It has just 6 ingredients plus salt and pepper to taste.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 4 Tablespoons butter
  • 2 large pork shoulder blade steaks (or 4 medium boneless pork loin chops)
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 onion (peeled and thinly sliced)
  • 6 sliced mushrooms (baby Bella or white button mushrooms)
  • 2 teaspoons jarred minced garlic
  • 10.5 ounce cream of mushroom soup
  • Optional to garnish - freshly chopped parsley

Instructions
 

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sprinkle both sides of the pork steaks with salt and pepper. Place them in the pan and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side, turning once, until browned.
  • Remove from the pan and place on a plate.
  • Place the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in the pan.
  • Add in the sliced onion, and sliced mushrooms and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Fry for 5 minutes, stirring often, until the onions have softened.
  • Stir in the jarred minced garlic and the cream of mushroom soup.
  • Add the pork steaks back to the pan and simmer for 10 minutes to heat the pork steaks through.
  • Optional - Serve topped with a sprinkling of fresh parsley.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4-5 days in the fridge.
