This easy Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings is filled with delicious chunky chicken and vegetables in a creamy flavorful sauce topped with fluffy self-rising dumplings.
On a cutting board, dice the chicken, celery, onion, and carrots.
Add the chicken broth, diced chicken, celery, onions, carrots, cream of chicken soup, ground sage, salt and pepper to a 6 quart crockpot. Stir to combine and cook on low for 7 hours.
In a small bowl mix the cornstarch with ½ cup of hot liquid from the crock pot, until no lumps remain.
Stir the cornstarch slurry into the contents inside the slow cooker.
In a medium bowl mix together the baking mix and milk forming sticky batter. Divide the batter into 8 equal portions and gently drop onto the hot mixture.
Cover and cook on low for 30 minutes.
Uncover and continue to cook on low for another 30 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
