Good Substitutes and Additions

Use any shaped pasta you prefer, short pasta works best like elbow macaroni.

Try using fresh mozzarella pearls, feta cheese, or other cheeses.

Use Miracle Whip or Italian dressing instead of mayonnaise.

How to make Cheddar Ham Pasta Salad

Step 1 – Bring a large pot of salted cold water to boiling. Cook the pasta according to the package directions.

Step 2 – Using a colander, drain the pasta.

Step 3 – Place the macaroni noodles in a large bowl.

Step 4 – Dice the ham and cheddar into bite-sized cubes.

Step 5 – Add mayonnaise, ham, and cheese to the bowl of pasta and mix well.

Step 6 – If desired, season with salt and pepper.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta (uncooked )
  • 8 ounces ham
  • 8 ounce cheddar cheese (block)
  • 1 ½ cups mayonnaise
  • Optional – salt and black pepper to taste

  • In a large pot, cook the pasta according to the package directions.
  • Using a colander, drain the pasta.
  • Place the macaroni noodles in a large bowl.
  • Dice the ham and cheddar into bite-sized cubes.

Need to rinse pasta after cooking, should mention that.
