Easy Cherry Tomato Salsa

This Easy Cherry Tomato Salsa is a chunky, delicious blend with loads of fresh flavor. Cherry tomatoes are combined with diced onions, jalapenos, and garlic. Serve this homemade salsa with tortilla chips.

Simple Ingredients

(amounts are listed in the recipe card at the bottom of the post)

onion

cherry tomatoes

jalapeno pepper

jarred minced garlic

salt and pepper

Optional – chopped fresh cilantro and a dash of lime juice

Substitutions and Additions

You can use 1 regular size tomato instead of cherry tomatoes.

You can use diced red onion instead of white onions.

Swap out the jarred minced garlic for fresh minced garlic cloves

How to make 4 Ingredient Cherry Tomato Salsa

Step 1 – On a cutting board using a sharp knife dice the onion and cherry tomatoes.

Step 2 – Cut open the jalapeno and remove and discard the seeds. Then dice the jalapeno.

Step 3 – Add all of the ingredients to a bowl and stir to combine. Salt and pepper to taste. See notes if you want to blend the ingredients more finely.

Pro Tips

If you prefer chunkier salsa, you can just dice the ingredients to your desired sizes. If you prefer less chunky, add all the ingredients to the bowl of a food processor, stand mixer, hand-held immersion blender, or Magic Bullet blender, and pulse a few quick times, or until your desired consistency.

For mild salsa remove and discard the seeds from the jalapeno. Leave them in if you like it spicy.

  • 1/4 of a medium onion (about 1/4 cup)
  • 10 fresh cherry tomatoes
  • 1/4 of a jalapeno pepper
  • 1 teaspoon jarred minced garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional - chopped fresh cilantro and a dash of lime juice

Instructions
