Substitutions
You can also use bone-in pork chops or boneless pork chops.
How to make Cream of Mushroom Pork Steaks
Step 1 – Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 2 – Sprinkle both sides of the pork steaks with salt and pepper. Place them in the pan and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side, turning once, until browned.

Step 3 – Remove from the pan and place on a plate.
Step 4 – Place the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in the pan.
Step 5 – Add in the sliced onion, and sliced mushrooms and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Fry for 5 minutes, stirring often, until the onions have softened.

Step 6 – Stir in the jarred minced garlic and the cream of mushroom soup.

Step 7 – Add the pork steaks back into the creamy sauce and simmer for 10 minutes to heat the pork steaks through.

Step 8 – Optional – Serve topped with a sprinkling of fresh parsley.

- 1 onion (peeled and thinly sliced)
- 6 sliced mushrooms (baby Bella or white button mushrooms)
- 2 teaspoons jarred minced garlic
- 10.5 ounce cream of mushroom soup
- Optional to garnish – freshly chopped parsley
Instructions
