You can use fresh thyme or dried thyme instead of basil.
How to make Brie with Jam
Step 1 – Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2 – Remove all the packaging from the brie, leaving the rind on, and place the brie on an oven-safe dish with shallow sides.

Step 3 – Use a sharp knife to make crisscross slits on the top of the wheel of brie.

Step 4 – Top with the jam, preserves, or fruit, and the basil, and nuts if using. (You can also bake just the brie, omit the basil, and add the jam after you top your cracker or bread with the melted cheese. This allows you to use an assortment of jams when serving it.)

Step 5 – Bake for 10 minutes until the cheese becomes melted but isn’t soupy.
Step 6 – Press the center with the back of a spoon to see if the cheese has melted on the inside. Bake an additional 5 minutes if needed but do not overbake.
Step 7 – Serve the warm baked brie with crackers, crostini, baguette slices, or pita chips.

Pro Tips
You can also bake just the brie, omit the basil, and add the jam after you top your cracker or bread with the melted cheese. This allows you to use an assortment of jams when serving it.
Recipe FAQs
No. Keep the rind on, as it will help the cheese hold its shape so it doesn’t all melt out. The rind is also edible, so you can enjoy it with the melty cheese if you wish.
