Beef and Broccoli with Ramen Noodles

This Beef and Broccoli with Ramen Noodles is packed full of ramen noodles, thin sliced sirloin steak, fresh chopped broccoli and a delicious brown stir fry sauce.

If you don’t want to discard the seasoning packet from the ramen noodle package you can add it into the recipe with the rest of the sauce ingredients.

Ingredients

instant Ramen noodles package

broccoli

olive oil

sirloin steak

sesame seeds

chives

ground ginger

jarred minced garlic

soy sauce

light brown sugar

corn starch

sesame oil

How to make Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry

Step 1 – Fill a large saucepan with water and bring to a boil.

Step 2 – Add the ramen noodles and cook 3 minutes, breaking them apart with a wooden spoon as they cook.

Step 3 – Drain and rinse with cold water and set aside.

Step 4 – In a medium bowl, whisk together the ground ginger, jarred minced garlic, low sodium soy sauce, warm water, packed light brown sugar, corn starch, sesame oil, and black pepper until combined. If you don’t want to discard the seasoning packet from the ramen noodle package you can add it into the recipe with the rest of the sauce ingredients.

Step 5 – On a cutting board, chop the broccoli into bite sized pieces.

Step 6 – Slice the sirloin into thin slices.

Step 7 – Heat a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 8 – Add 1 tablespoon olive oil, broccoli and 2 tablespoons water. Cover with a lid and cook 4 minutes, stirring occasionally until crisp tender.

Step 9 – Transfer the broccoli to a separate dish.

Step 10 – Increase the skillet heat to medium high heat and add 1 tablespoon olive oil.

Step 11 – Add the beef slices and cook about 1 minute per side or just until browned, then reduce the heat to medium low.

Step 12 – Pour the sauce into the skillet and simmer 3 – 5 minutes to thicken, stirring occasionally.

Step 13 – Return the broccoli to the pan along with the cooked ramen noodles and toss to combine until coated with the sauce.

Step 15 – Garnish the beef broccoli ramen with sesame seeds and chives and serve.

  • 2 (3 oz each) instant Ramen noodles package, seasoning discarded
  • 2 cups broccoli
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 1 pound sirloin steak
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
  • 2 Tablespoons chives
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon jarred minced garlic
  • 6 Tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 4 teaspoons corn starch
  • 2 Tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
