Ingredients

  • granulated sugar
  • brown sugar
  • creamy peanut butter
  • egg

How to make Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies

Step 1 – Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 – Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 3 – In a bowl or a stand mixer, mix together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, peanut butter, and jumbo egg until smooth.

Step 4 – Divide into 12 equal portions of cookie dough.

Step 5 – Use your hands to roll into balls and place on the prepared cookie sheet.

Step 6 – Press down with the tines of a fork one time, just enough to make an impression, on each cookie dough ball.

Step 7 – Bake for 12 – 14 minutes.

Step 8 – Cool on the cookie sheet for 2 minutes.

Step 9 – Transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.

Why do you put a fork in peanut butter cookies?

The fork presses the cookie a little bit flatter since it is dense and won’t spread out very much on it’s own. This helps them to bake more evenly.
