Why I love this recipe
There is something so comforting about homemade, flavorful gravy. We love to pour it over roasted chicken, fried chicken, roast beef, buttermilk biscuits, and mashed potatoes, but it can be used over rice as well.
It’s also perfect for busy schedules, Sunday dinner, Thanksgiving dinner, or any holiday meal. We used chicken broth in these pictures, but you can easily use beef broth or meat drippings instead.
Expert tips
You can use meat drippings, chicken stock, vegetable stock, or beef stock instead of broth.
Sauté some onions or mushrooms and add them to the gravy.
Store leftover gravy in an airtight container in the fridge for 4-5 days.
